St. Valentine & The Greatest Feeling In Life

Here is no greater and more fulfilling feeling in life than to love and be loved. And human beings aren’t the only ones who are accounted for when it comes to that, as animals, plants and other forms of life thrive upon love or loving influences. Power, fortune, success, or any other human desire might be attractive, but at the end of the day, it means nothing without that one omnipotent, universal emotion.

Valentine was a priest at the time of the 3rd century in Rome. When the Roman Emperor Claudius II decided that unmarried men made better soldiers than those married with families, he outlawed marriage for young men. So Valentine felt that it was an injustice to these men and defied this law by continuing to perform marriages for young people in love.

As soon as the Roman Emperor found out about Valentine's actions, he ordered that Valentine be put to death. Valentine’s Day is supposedly around the time Valentine was killed, to honor his death as well as celebrate the union of those he joined together in holy matrimony.

Don’t just celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14th, celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved ones every single day of your life. Happy St. Valentine's Day to everyone today and always.
